Lose weight by thinking

Lose weight by thinking

No, really, it’s true.

For a few weeks, I’ve been practicing daily intermittent fasting. I eat between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and I fast between 7:00 PM and 1:00 PM.

The most interesting and important result? It has made me mindful of eating. I am well past my thirties (please don’t do the math), yet only now am I aware that I ate fairly indiscriminately — without thinking. Consequently, I ate more than I realized. Now, I stop and think: Is it between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM? If not, I don’t eat. Simple. I think more, eat less, and lose weight.

I don’t know whether I’ll practice intermittent fasting forever, but one thing is for sure: From now on, I’ll think — about when I’m eating, what I’m eating, and how much I’m eating.

Better living through thinking. That’s what we do here.

My mother-in-law’s friend has been practicing intermittent fasting for a couple of years with great success! She’d tried many diets, but nothing worked. The weight just fell off and she has so much energy.
