Formless and void is the fledgling world; then darkness turns to light.
Holiness speaks, and all things good dutifully come to life.
Now Holiness bends and reaches down, the pinnacle of His plan.
A handful of dust and holy breath mingle to form a man.
A son of God — Creation
Creator becomes creation, and darkness turns to light.
The One who had once lent His holy breath now comes to give His life.
He climbs the hill to Calvary, the pinnacle of His plan.
Hanging upon a rugged cross, the form of a dying man.
The Son of God — Salvation
Once again Holiness reaches down, holding out a hand.
And so many choose to turn away, denying His perfect plan.
But those who will take hold of His hand and choose to return His love
Are chosen to share the glory of the Firstborn of many sons.
The sons of God — Exaltation
“God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.” (Romans 8:29-30)
